SmokeGrenades.co.nz are proud to present a premium quality smoke signal unit. Unmatched in quality by any other non-emergency smoke bomb in New Zealand.
The smoke grenades are perfect for anyone interested in airsoft, paintball, laser tag and any action sport where you want to add some immersion and something new to the game***.
If you’re a photographer, then these can add a whole new dimension to your photoshoots. Whether you’re doing wedding photography, portraits, fantasy, or even cosplay, the smoke bombs we sell will be more than enough. Don’t settle for lesser quality products! Remember, these unit do not require a Controlled Substance License. They are simply restricted to consumers over 18 years of age.
We’ve sold units to videographers, firearm ranges, private security, and even commercial construction. A wide application use has had them seen emergency training, drills, and even stuck on drift cars at D1NZ and downhill GoKarts!
We’ve had a ton of interest from people wanting to use smoke grenades for their baby gender reveals and we’re looking at getting blue and pink smoke bombs later this year.

Smoke Signal Technicals
Our units have a realistic smoke grenade operation.
- Simply hold the handle and then twist and pull the out pin.
- Keep the handle held against the smoke grenade unit until you are ready for ignition.
- Release the handle and smoke will begin almost immediately.
- Drop or safely throw smoke unit as smoke begins (unit will gradually get warm/hot as smoke continues).
Fuse Delay: ~1 second
Smoke Duration: ~60 seconds (varies per colour, but typically around 60 seconds)
Smoke Colour: Currently available; White, Red, Purple, Green, & Yellow (more to come in the future).
Availability: Restricted to over persons over 18. North and South Island, New Zealand.
Smoke Signal Safety
- All smokes are pyrotechnic articles. All pyrotechnics have a fire risk. Even with cool burn technology.
- The smoke signals get hot. Be mindful where you set them off and throw them.
- Do not use near flammable materials (e.g. fuel, dry foliage).
- Keep an eye on all units during and after ignition.
- Once a unit is ignited it will be incredibly difficult to extinguish before all material is spent.
- In case of misfires, do not return to or pick up unit for at least 5-minutes.
- Be mindful units will be hot after use. Hand protection is advised when handling units.
* Comparable emergency signal smokes (60-seconds, day use, orange in colour), retail at $59.95+ each.
** It is a criminal offence to let off an emergency signal smoke in non-emergency situations or outside of a training session.
